Rannoch is a haven of peace where you have a large choice of places to walk from easy to difficult and from forest to hills and loch shores.  A great place to cycle, too.

Holiday cottage guests find that there is something for every taste and age and they keep coming back.

Please remember that walking in these remote areas requires proper equipment for the terrain whatever the weather, as it can turn nasty very quickly if the mist comes down.  You can get advice from Scottish Mountain Safety and Skills.  It is important to wear suitable footwear and to carry extra warm clothing and a compass.  Do not depend on a mobile phone as there may not always be a signal.

Horse-riding

Sadly, the trekking centre at Blair Castle has closed permanently.  However, you can ride at Taymouth Stables, Kenmore - Mains of Taymouth trekking and learning centre is situated in the heart of Scotland with some of the most spectacular views and scenery. Phone: 07712 321903

Geo-caching

Eye Spy Wildlife Scotland is a guided wildlife watching organisation based in Tummel Bridge.

Cycle Hire

Rannoch is a great place for cycling on quiet roads. It is the venue for part of the Etape Caledonia, an annual cycling event in May in which over 3000 cyclists take part on closed roads.
